Gluten-Free Iconic Matilda Chocolate Cake
Hello chocolaty decadence!!! This delicious chocolate cake is inspired by the iconic cake in the movie "Matilda” that Bruce chows down on - rich and chocolaty, fudgy and thick, it’s the perfect chocolate cake-lover’s dream 🍫
To whoever is reading this, I can PROMISE you that this will be the absolute best chocolate cake you will ever have in your entire life. No other cake can compare to this one. This cake is so unbelievably moist and light, but rich in serious chocolate flavor from both the cake and the buttercream, you’ll be addicted from the moment you take the first bite. The buttercream is sooooo silky and surprisingly not heavy at all despite the delectable flavor!
I am a sucker for double chocolate cake - especially this one. It’s just one of those craving itches that’s really hard to scratch unless you have it then and there. Whenever I see the chocolate cake in the movie Matilda I get that itch! It just looks so moist, fudgy, chocolaty, and delicious (despite looking rather gross while it’s all over Bruce’s face 😂). This is one of those cakes that you can take one slice, realize you can eat another, take another slice, eat it, and go back for a few more forkfuls of cake straight from the whole cake!! It’s truly irresistible 😍
