Gluten-free Peanut Butter Easter Eggs
For these Peanut Butter Easter Eggs, I decided that I would make it a mission for myself to make them as similar as I could to a Reese's Egg because they aren't gluten-free. I wanted to eliminate some of the sugar that is usually in traditional eggs because they are sometimes way too sweet. So, I added a tiny bit of salt and butter and cut the powdered sugar down by a ton. You can dip them in chocolate the traditional way, but I got a silicone egg mold from Amazon to make them look a little bit fancier!
Peanut butter eggs have been an Easter tradition in my family for years π°π₯. My brother and I have a smackdown to see who can make the tastier eggs...I think I'll be winning every year from now on. The eggs are EXTREMELY easy and are perfect to make with children. You can dip them in whatever chocolate you like (I dipped my eggs in Milk, Semi-Sweet, White, and Dark for variety). Also, they are naturally gluten-free! So, grab your peanut butter andβ¦

TIPS AND TRICKS:
- Avoid using all natural peanut butter with the layer of oil in the top of the jar.
- Dip the eggs when they are frozen or almost frozen.
- Dip the eggs in whatever kind of chocolate you like.
- Use a silicone egg mold if you want to make your eggs look fancier than hand shaped.
- Melt a tiny bit of vegetable shortening or butter into your melted chocolate if it is too thick to dip the eggs in.
- This dough is pretty soft, so if it starts to get soft again while you're rolling them just pop the dough in the freezer for 5 minutes.
- There is no specific amount of eggs this makes because it is completely up to you whether you want to make a bunch of tiny eggs or a few giant ones!
- You can decorate these however you want. The possibilities are endless!
